Scheduled Road Work for Week of August 31, 2026

MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI — The Muskegon County Road Commission (MCRC) will continue road maintenance and improvement projects throughout the county during the week of August 31, weather permitting.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down, stay alert, and use caution when traveling through active work zones. Giving crews plenty of room to work helps keep everyone safe.

Ditching

• Eilers Road in Montague Township

Crack Seal/Overband

• Alice Street in Whitehall Township
• Hyde Park Road in Fruitland Township

Shoulder Patching

• District-wide

Dura-Patching

• Williams Road in White River Township

Overlay Paving

• Tranquil Trail, scheduled for Monday, August 31

Culvert Replacement

• Bard Road west of Weber Road. Culvert delivery is anticipated for the end of September.

Twin Lake District

Tree Canopy Removal

• Ryerson Road east and west of the Cedar Creek bridge

Ditching

• Green Creek Road from Giles Road to River Road

Crack Seal/Overband

• Buys Road from Memorial Drive to River Road

Muskegon District

Crack Seal/Overband

• Hilton Park Road from M-46 to White Road
• Chatterson Road from Evanston Avenue to Hall Road

Dura-Patching

• Sherman Road from Price Road to Ravenna Road

Gravel Road Upgrades

• Moorland Township — completed

Culvert Replacement

• Moorland Road just north of Price Road

Overlay Paving

• Cress Creek Drive in Fruitport Township
• Renae Avenue and Densmore Road in Muskegon Township

Other Countywide Activities

MCRC crews will continue assisting with MDOT maintenance activities, including shoulder berm pulling, mowing, and guardrail and cable rail repairs.
